Privacy Policy

Effective October 31, 2026. This policy covers grants.commonrise.co and the CommonRise Grants section of my.commonrise.co, run by CommonRise Collective and/or its affiliates.

What we collect

• Your Fit Check answers: who you are, your state, legal structure, size, SAM.gov status, what you need money for, how much and when.
• Your contact details: name, email and, if you give it, your phone number.
• Your choices: email, calls and texts, and sharing, saved with the date and the wording you agreed to.
• If you join: your organization profile and the documents you upload, stored encrypted.
• Basic, cookie-free visit counts (page, rough area, device type). We don’t store your IP address for this.

How we use it

To show your matches, send your results and alerts, reply to your requests, and improve our matching. AI tools may summarize public grant announcements; we don’t send your personal or financial details to AI.

Sharing

We share your information only with your permission. If you tick the sharing box, CommonRise may share your information with its affiliates and trusted partners, such as grant writers, lenders and other service providers, so they can contact you about services that fit what you asked for. Some partners pay CommonRise a referral fee. You can turn sharing off any time in your account. We also use service providers that help us run the site (hosting and email), and we may disclose information when the law requires it.

Calls, texts and email

We call or text only if you agreed, and you can reply STOP any time. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Sensitive information

Health and behavioral health organizations: upload organization documents only, never patient or client records. We never collect bank account numbers; you enter those directly into SAM.gov.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your information while your account is open and as long as we need it for the services you asked for and our records. To see, correct or delete your information, email teamcommonrise@mail.commonrise.co.
